11/9/01 - Johann has set up a project over on SourceForge where you can get the latest version of KodakPCD. I will no longer be providing it here to avoid confusion. You can also talk to Johann there and let him know of any troubles you may be having.
9/29/01 - Johann has sent me a version, KodakPCD-010929a.zip, to fix the "it doesn't do anything" problem which is due to the use of ActiveX controls that aren't available on many people's systems.
8/20/01 - A new version is now available, KodakPCD-010819a.zip. This version should allow upwards of 900 images on a CD. Unfortunately, it still requires ActiveX controls that few people have installed on their systems.
8/16/01 - KodakPCD-010816a.zip released. Johann removed the Microsoft Forms 2.0 Label control to make it unnecessary to install ActiveX Control Pad.
8/15/01 - Johann sent me pointers to downloads that should fix the "KodakPCD doesn't run at all" problem. Check in the limitations section under "Requires Several Obscure ActiveX Controls" for the details and links to the necessary downloads.
8/12/01 - I've just posted Johann's latest utility. This fixes many of the bugs in the old utility, and it has a Windows user interface. Thanks Johann! Help is available in the form of an online readme.
Old news has been moved. If you still want info about the old version, click here.
Can't See Images on PC - This is a known issue. This utility does not create a valid ISO9660 filesystem. Only a Photo CD player can properly access the images on the CDs created with this utility.
HP 7200 CD Writer - One user has reported that the HP7200 cd writer doesn't work with CDRWin. WinOnCD works fine.
165 image limit - Some Photo CD players still have trouble with Photo CDs that have over 165 images. The images beyond 165 come up blank.
Requires Several Obscure ActiveX Controls - This issue appears to be fixed in the 010929 version.
Miscellaneous Bugs - There are probably other miscellaneous bugs hiding in the utility. Please contact Johann.

If you are a software developer, you can help the KodakPCD project by taking a look at the KodakPCD Project at SourceForge.
Many have contributed to this project either by hacking or testing. Alexander Lehmann first figured out the Kodak Portfolio Photo CD format by examining the CD images created by Kodak's Build-It. Johann Vieselthaler then converted Alexander's Pascal source into C and then incorporated it into a complete MFC application. Countless others have also contributed and we thank them all for their efforts.
